Primary Visual Art (ages 6 - 9)

Last term, the Visual Art class covered the process of stop-motion animation from concept development to sculpting to sound editing. We explored several materials including ink, graphite, watercolour pencil and collage. It was a foundation that covered several different areas of art making.

This coming semester, a focus on keeping a consistent sketch book will be a priority. Each student will be given an 8.5”x 11”  sketch book to be used during class and also to take home to further investigate and practice the art of drawing.

Sound installations, outdoor excursions and paper maché will be a few areas we will be exploring in this semester.

 One hour classes.

 Third Term: April 10  to June 12 - $290

Private Piano Lessons

Young children are taught in an imaginative way through "Cougar's Great Adventure" (please see home page and Arden Books) learning notes on the staff and rhythmic values. Games and rhythm instruments are used to develop the fundamental tools of reading skills. Young students receive a personalized book with their own photographs once they have basic note reading skills. For more advanced students, Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum is blended with popular music to create a unique course of study for each student.
